Booksi.com Review – Discount Travel Membership

Booksi is a members-only travel site that specializes in offering exclusive negotiated discounts on hotels, airfare, ocean cruises, car rentals, attractions, transportation and lounges. 

Founded in 2020, Booksi.com has amassed over 1 million customers touting Member Savings of over $92million, featured boldly on the website’s home page.  Eager to report on the program’s claims, we did some comparing.

The travel discounts are phenomenal! You can literally pay for the annual membership fee with the savings on a one-night hotel reservation. Why are their rates cheaper than when you book directly with the hotel? Booksi claims that “many hotels won’t allow websites that are open to the general public to offer lower rates than what is offered at the hotel’s own website. But since we are a members-only website with password-protected access, we can offer lower rates on 100s of thousands of hotels“. 

Of course, we didn’t take their claim at face value. We tested them and compared their discount hotel pricing (exact hotel and dates) with other popular travel websites. We found discounts of $140* per night at the Embassy Suites Orlando – Lake Buena Vista South, and $136* at the Bellagio in Las Vegas.

These travel discounts are not found anywhere else and that’s after all booking fees and taxes are included! As for airfare, we checked a few non-stop flights on Kayak.com and the rates were on par with what we found, and they don’t charge a “service or booking fee” (customarily up to $50 per ticket) which is often charged by travel agents and other websites.

We think that is a very, very smart way to do business. You may be surprised, but if you travel a couple times a year, you likely pay that much in booking fees to other travel sites every year.

Each time you make a reservation you will earn Reward Points once travel is completed. Each point is equivalent to one U.S. dollar that you can redeem on the cost of any flight, hotel or car rental booking on Booksi. They expire after 1 year????, so you need to use them pretty quickly. When you are logged into your account and are finalizing a booking for a flight, hotel or car rental, you can choose to pay with Reward Points.

Booksi’s Low Price Guarantee:

Booksi guarantees that you will not find a lower price for an ‘identical booking’ anywhere online within 24 hours of booking a flight, hotel or car rentals. If you find a lower price, Booksi will refund 110% of the difference. The best part about their guarantee is that it applies to their Members-only hotels! So, if you are not happy with a Hotel deal that you got, see if you can find a better price online simply submit a claim via your account portal. Remember to refer to the Terms & Conditions before submitting.

Booksi’s Cancellation Policy:

You often have options when booking each product and service.  Each rate or room category will list the cancellation policy provided by the supplier.  When booking close in travel and deeply discounted rates, they will likely be non-refundable however, for some Members-only rates, Booksi has negotiated an Exclusive 48hr FREE cancellation policy.  Either way, it’s important to review the details before finalizing your reservation.  

Since cancellation and change fees can be steep, we highly recommend that you obtain travel cancellation insurance at the time of booking.
