Traveling to Canmore? Check Out The Best Hotels to Stay In

Although you’ll spend most of your time outdoors, why not have the best view from your room, too? Fortunately, Canmore offers a variety of lodging options for all budgets.

Vacationing in the heart of Canmore, Alberta, can be a fantastic experience. While not one of the busiest or crowded towns in the region, it’s still a top tourist destination.

People go to this town not just for the amazing views and tons of adventures. Canmore also offers superb accommodations for those who want to unwind. Most of its resorts are new and modern and can cater to the guests’ every whim.

Here’s a list of our favorites.

Falcon Crest Lodge

To stay at the Falcon Crest Lodge is to stay at one of the best hotels in Canmore. The resort has one and two-bedroom units and it’s perfect for singles and families.

You also have access to a heated underground parking lot and a car wash. Two outdoor hot tubs allow you to relax after a long hike. The fitness room is also a nice touch and exclusive for the use of hotel guests.

It’s not the priciest in the area and it still provides deluxe accommodations.

The Malcolm Hotel

What’s special about the Malcolm Hotel? Canmore only has a few luxury resorts and this is one of them. It’s among the newest lodges in town and minutes away from all the best places to eat and shop.

The views from the hotel are amazing, as the Three Sisters Mountains tower over the resort. The hotel also offers concierge services, a fitness center, and one of the best restaurants in town.

Blackstone Mountain Lodge

If you want quick access to popular points of interest, Blackstone Mountain Lodge is the place to stay at. It’s one of the best hotels in Canmore and very close to Banff National Park. It also offers a quick and easy route to Lake Louise.

Unlike other resorts, this one provides more amenities. There’s an outdoor grilling area as well as hot tubs, for starters. The hotel also has a gym and a full-service spa center.

You can even keep your bike and skiing equipment in dedicated lockers. And the bedroom suites are some of the biggest around town. A few of them even have their own breakfast bars and kitchens.

Solara Resort & Spa

Not your garden variety hotel, the Solara Resort & Spa offers luxury accommodations. It’s also a wellness retreat suitable for large groups or romantic couple vacations.

You can find up to three-bedroom units that are all elegantly furnished. The custom wooden furniture gives the lodge a rustic look. And the big fireplaces and massive windows fit perfectly in the mountain setting.

Stoneridge Mountain Resort

The resort is very close to downtown Canmore, which puts it close to all the inner city activities and festival locations.

Here you can find small units but also condo-style accommodations. The modern appliances and spacious rooms can make you feel as comfortable as back home, if not more.

There’s also an indoor-outdoor swimming pool that stays open all year round and is a hit with the guests. A gym, hot tub area, and heated underground parking are also available.

Pocaterra Inn & Waterslide

The Pocaterra Inn & Waterslide is a great resort for families and large groups. For extra sleeping space, know that the rooms with the “Hide-a-Bed” feature include pullout sofas. You may also appreciate the safety bars in the bathrooms – very handy for guests with mobility issues.

What’s also great is that the inn has a couple of pet-friendly rooms, too. There aren’t too many of those in town.

Copperstone Resort

A stay at the Copperstone Resort comes with breathtaking mountain views. As one of the best hotels in Canmore, you can expect the resort to offer tons of amenities.

Its hot tub can accommodate up to 10 people. There are even outdoor grilling areas and a large swimming pool. The fire pit always makes for a nice place to relax at night. And, if you travel with kids, the games library might turn out to be a great addition.

Rundle Cliffs Luxury Mountain Lodge

Located in the heart of Spring Creek, this is one of the most popular hotels in Canmore. Its location is what draws most tourists. After all, it has some of the best views of the Canadian Rockies and it’s away from the crowds.

Still, taking a trip downtown isn’t going to take long. And the walks on the creekside pathways make booking a room there even more worthwhile.

Onsite, the hotel offers hot tubs, a fitness center, and outdoor pools for guests to use. It also has an indoor game room and spacious units.

It’s also among the few places in and around town that have pet-friendly suites.

Rocky Mountain Ski Lodge

If you want to try some of the more budget hotels in Canmore, try the Rocky Mountain Ski Lodge. The location puts it about 5km away from Banff National Park.

It offers spotless accommodations and superb views. The hotel features a hot tub area, sauna, playgrounds, and a grilling area. You also have a few room choices, including standard, studio, or condo-style.

Canmore Inn & Suites

Enjoy a stay in the heart of the Canadian Rocky Mountains with a room at the Canmore Inn & Suites. This resort offers mid-range accommodations and spectacular views.

Right in the center of the city, the hotel keeps its guests comfortable and entertained. It has a swimming pool, a hot tub area, and even a waterslide.

The fitness room is a nice touch and the hotel is conference-friendly too.

Embrace the Luxurious Wilderness of Canmore

There’s no denying the picturesque setting of Canmore. Fortunately, most of the top hotels offer picture-perfect views of the Canadian Rockies.

The town caters to singles, couples, and large groups looking to vacation together.

You won’t find this part of Alberta lacking in lodging options. And, when it comes to amenities and facilities, you won’t feel like you’re in a regular mountain setting.
