You can check out plenty of artifacts and exhibits, as well as immerse yourself in educational content in its 278-person theater. The interactive exhibits will certainly leave a strong impression on you and teach you a lot about racing.

Kristina, who recently visited the NASCAR Hall of Fame, absolutely raved over it. In her words:

“Great! Great! Great! The must-go place for families with sons. I would definitely come back if I had one. My husband was so happy to touch everything and participate in the interactions.”

2. Daniel Stowe Botanical Garden

If you want to escape the hustle and bustle of city life and connect with nature, the Daniel Stowe Botanical Garden can be your oasis of peace. 

While it’s not as large as other famous gardens, it’s more than worth a visit. It features stunning flora that can take your breath away. Beautiful fountains complete the peaceful vibe, making the garden look even more attractive.

It’s only 30 minutes away from uptown Charlotte, so you should have no trouble getting to it. And depending on when you go, you’ll likely come across special decorations related to the event. Christmas, Independence Day, Easter, and other holidays are always celebrated here in a unique way.

“There’s something going on here all year round,” says David, who had a blast at the garden. “The Chinese Lantern Festival and the holiday lights were both worth seeing. Be sure to check out the orchid house. They also run some educational classes.”

3. City Art Room

If you’re looking for unique things to do in Charlotte, NC, you have to check out the City Art Room. 

A social painting studio, the City Art Room prides itself on the fact that you can sip and paint. There are weekly painting public sessions that you can visit alone, with your partner, or with a group of friends. And if you’re coming to Charlotte with the kids, there are also private painting parties for adults and children alike.

“I came here with my mom for my 25th birthday, and we really enjoyed ourselves,” says Chantal, who took a trip to Charlotte and visited the City Art Room. “The overall environment (company and music) was lovely. I will definitely return when I’m in Charlotte again. Being here inspires me to begin painting!”

Whether you’re a fan of art or just want to have loads of fun, it can surely offer a unique and memorable experience.

4. Frankie’s

Looking for things to do in Charlotte with toddlers or a group of friends? Frankie’s offers endless fun for all ages. It’s a perfect venue for a full day of entertainment for everyone – whether you’re into laser tag, bowling, mini-golf, carting, or any other activities that they offer.

“I love this place! It’s fun, it has a ton of games. Inside and out. You can also bowl, and you can eat/snack/drink/chill. You can spend a couple or a few or several hours there. You can burn through your money, but if you’re having fun, it’s worth it, especially if you save up.”

When Bruce visited the Billy Graham Library, it delighted him.

“Wow, what an exceptional place to visit,” he said. “The library is laid out to present the story of Billy Graham and more importantly, the good news of Jesus Christ in a multi-media format. It is extremely well done and far exceeded my expectations!”
